5th Class, 11th May

Dear 5th class,

We hope you are all well and have gotten outside every day – we are getting so lucky with the sunshine. The birdsong is deafening every morning and evening and the dandelion seeds seem to be floating into every house at the moment.

How have you been? Have you sent us an e-mail yet? It has been a pleasure exchanging news with some of you. We are enjoying getting to respond to your work and give you feedback – there is some truly excellent handwriting being produced at the moment!

This week we are continuing with the topic of time in maths. We are starting two tricky sections: a.m. p.m. and the 24 hour clock. Please get in touch with us if you need help with any part of your work. We have attached the maths challenge pages, well being activity and some brilliant book recommendations to the end of the plan. Here are three more: The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street by Karina Yan Glaser, The Train to Impossible Places and  Great Brain Robbery, both of them are written by P.G Bell.

We miss you all so much and can’t wait to catch up on our first day back to school out on the yard. We also want to say Happy Birthday to Jewel, Paulina, Ella, Trisha and Maja! We are all thinking of you and sending you list of reading recommendations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Ms. Field and Ms. Mahon.
