Principal’s Welcome Letter

A welcome note from our Principal

Fáilte is céad go suíomh gréasáin Scoil Choca Naofa.

Welcome to Scoil Choca’s website.

I hope your visit will assist you in gaining some insight into our school life.

Scoil Choca is a Catholic school that is inclusive of all regardless of background, religion or ability. In this atmosphere we nurture the spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical growth of our students. We are under the Patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin – Bishop Denis Nulty.

Scoil Choca is situated at the end of Mill lane, behind the parish church of St Coca.

In September 2015 we began the journey towards becoming a vertical coeducational school when both boys and girls enrolled in Junior Infants.

Scoil Choca follows the curriculum laid down by the Department of Education and Skills which identifies three primary aims for primary education:-

  • To enable the child to live a full life as a child and to realise his or her potential as a unique individual.
  • To enable the child to develop as a social being through living and co-operating with others and so contribute to the good of society.
  • To prepare the child for further education and lifelong learning.

Since 2011, we are privileged to have a state-of-the art building which is beneficial in creating a wonderful learning and teaching environment. We have maintained our bonds with the past and the renovated old school continues to be used.

Blending past and present and preparing for the future, Scoil Choca Naofa continues its commitment to the provision of a quality education to all the children in the parish. Our children really matter and every individual’s ability is recognised, developed and rewarded.

We have a wonderful staff and you can be assured of our full co-operation and commitment at all times. We hope your child’s years spent in Scoil Choca Naofa will be extremely happy. If you would like to visit our school or if there is anything you would like to discuss regarding your child, feel free to come and talk to us.

I hope you enjoy browsing through the pages of our website.

Beir bua agus beannacht
