12 children have been learning the Ukulele from Sarah for the last four weeks. Every Thursday they get together in the meeting room and after only 4 lessons they can now play “You are my Sunshine” and “Skip to my Lou”. As well as strumming the chords, Sarah is encouraging them to sing along as they play. They are also learning the parts of the instrument and this week they had some lovely art work to display. Some students have their own Ukulele, while others borrow from a stock of instruments that Sarah brings with her. Thank you to the Parent’s Association who are partly funding this musical venture.
