Maths Madness

Ms. Grimes’ Junior Infants embracing maths week.

  • Maths in the yard. There are lots of opportunities for learning in our school yard. We found different 2D shapes and identified numbers 1-10 on the numbers lines. 
Maths in other areas of the curriculum. During our art lesson this week, we designed and drew a witch’s hat. We created different patterns (early skills in the area of algebra) using a variety of 2D shapes and colours. 
Bee bots. The children had really good fun using the bee bots. They develop  early problem solving skills and use language of position and direction.

Scoil Choca Naofa has been an integral part of the community of Kilcock since its foundation 150 years ago by the Presentation Sisters. How to Enrol for this Year

For the 2023 – 2024 Academic Year only. Print out the enrolment form and return to the school. This is a joint enrolment form for both Scoil Choca Naofa & St Joseph’s. We will endeavour (but cannot guarantee) to facilitate your choice of school. Siblings will be accommodated together, where spaces are available.
