What a week it was – so sad and yet filled with such generosity of spirit. Mass and the celebrations in the school hall afterwards on Friday were a great tribute to all of the Scoil Choca community – staff, parents, parish and of course children. David, Brian and Caroline couldn’t believe the talent and warmth of everyone. Thank you all, for wonderful memories to bring with me to the next chapter of my life.
It was great too for staff and students to meet the new Principal, Linda Daly, on Monday. She got a really good feeling of how Scoil Choca works as the children gave a rendition of “Why do you have to go” in the yard after lunch. I wish her the very best in the position and I’m sure she will be every bit as happy here as I have been.
