Fifth and Sixth classes from Scoil Choca did an amazing “CLEAN UP” on Friday of the areas around the church and school. Many passers-by commented on the civic mindedness of the girls – some joined in with a helping hand. Well done all!
The Green Committee welcomed the nice Spring weather with some visits to the garden to prepare the beds for planting. There was also some reconstruction to be done to the willow structure after the many storms of the winter. The woodland area, with its lovely display of miniature daffodils and some grape hyacinths, needed some work too. The Insect Hotel was inspected, again to put some things in order after the winter. All the activities of the Green Committee are documented on the GREEN BOARD – keep an eye on it to see what’s new!!!!! Dara Wyer from Kildare Co Co visited the school recently and commented very favourably on all the work the committee do.
