The children from 4th, 5th and 6th class went to the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in the RDS on the 9th of January. It was a fantastic day. We saw some very entertaining show including; The Physics of Breakdancing, Robo Riots and Morgan and West: Unbelievable Science.
The World Science and Technology proved to be the most appealing area to the children. There was a huge number of interactive activities for the children to partake in. The ecozone was also very interesting. In this area we visited the Garda Síochanna’s stand, Dublin Zoo’s stand, the Irish Coast Guard’s stand and the National Parks and Wildlife’s Service’s Stand.
Aside from all these stands and interactive areas, the children looked at some of the projects that the secondary school students were exhibiting. We learned that 60% of all of the projects were environment focused.
