6th Class 1st June

Hello girls,

We hope you had a lovely weekend. Can you believe it is June already? Time has flown by and it is hard to believe we are coming near the end of 6th class.

We are delighted to say we are making great progress with the school magazine and are putting the finishing touches to it. You have done a great job working on your articles and we wanted to thank you all for your contributions.

This week children will be completing the RSE Programme. We have sent on links and information to parents/guardians by email already and IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO THESE LESSONS TOGETHER. We understand that there are a number of sensitive topics to talk about and discuss. We are here if you need any advice or help through the process or if you have any questions, please contact us.

Next week is Sports week in Scoil Chóca Naofa and we have a big surprise for everyone. Please look at the school website from 9:00am on Friday 5th June, two more videos will go live on Sunday night, June 7th. You do not want to miss this!

Something that came to our attention over the last couple of weeks is that some children are feeling very sad about not graduating as in other years. We would just like to assure you all that, while it is not possible now, we will absolutely make sure that the children graduate together just as soon as it is safe to do so. We are also working away in the background to try and commemorate the class of 2020 and ensure they know just how special they are and how much we will miss them.

And Finally… Next Friday, Ms Diggin, Ms Soden and Ms. Conboy will be inviting all the girls from sixth class to attend our first ever Zoom call!  Because it is our first time calling the children, we have decided to conduct it together. More details will follow over the week. It will be an ideal opportunity to share any concerns or just touch base with one another. We are really looking forward to seeing you all. Ms Daly has sent out a note and list of rules that must be adhered to. Please respect everyone, just as you would in the classroom and let’s make this a lovely positive and affirming experience for all.

We look forward to talking to you all. Thank you so much for all you have done so far; We appreciate your effort and support,

Many Thanks

Ms. Soden & Ms.Diggin
