5th Class, 20th April

Hello Girls,

Firstly, we hope that you all had a safe and happy Easter. We were delighted to see that the travel restrictions didn’t apply to the Easter bunny. Ms. Mahon was delighted to be able to gobble up a Mini-Eggs Easter egg all to herself while Ms. Field happily munched away on a Malteasers egg.

Secondly, we miss not being in school and seeing you all every day. Ms. Mahon misses calling the rolla every morning (never late!) and knowing that all her girls are in the class. She also misses reading Harry Potter with you – we will have to finish that at some stage! Ms. Field misses singing with you all. We must perform our Seachtain na Gaeilge song when we return to school because it’s fantastic.

This week we have decided that we would like you to have a look at doing a little project on Transport. We realise you might not have a poster to stick your work onto and that’s okay. You can stick recycled magazine pages together and stick your work onto that, if you wish. You can also make a little booklet or if mammy are daddy aren’t using their lap top, you could make a little power point of your project. We’d love to see pictures of your project work this week and you can send them to the e-mail addresses we have given. If you do a power point you can send that too.  However, we do understand that the adults are very busy at the moment so if mammy or daddy are too busy to send us pictures of your work, that is okay too.

Finally girls, continue to be as good as you can at home and help in any way you can. E.g set the table, empty the dishwasher, keep your room tidy, etc. Get out into the fresh air as much as you can. We’ve given two extra activities that you can do outside – enjoy them. You can always email Ms. Mahon and Ms. Field if you have any questions about the work or if you are finding something difficult, we will be more than happy to help you.

That’s all for now girls. Looking forward to seeing some of your work!

Le Meas,

Ms. Mahon & Ms. Field.
